It was my first time making Cheermotes, and this is the result! Rifkin of BaseTrade, Starcraft commentator fame desired a very retro pixel style. Each Cheermote concept was his requested content. I tried to maintain the pixel vibe, but realized pure pixel art might not read well for the intended application, so I used a hybrid of pixel animations (produced in photoshop) and motion graphics (using Animate CC, formerly Flash). I feel the results turned out well.
Fun sprite work this week, crammed between meetings and feedback on first very rough full playthrough. Woohoo have a great weekend all!
Some concept work on group of enemies called the Elgon, for Indie game Mecromage.
Twitch emoticons I’ve been working on today to submit to Kripp. Any feedback is appreciated.
A fun little image I did to celebrate all the fun my wife and I have had playing Destiny together. She is a real bad@$$ in that game!
Picture for a very special buddy of mine’s 6th birthday! He really likes Huskies!
The wife and I were away from eachother for about six months because of her work. This work was done to cheer her up while we were away.
This is a map screen I’ve been drafting up for a 2d platforming game. There are a lot of constraints to ensure the process is efficient to quickly develop more for different levels, and to ensure that we keep it as light as possible on the coding end as well. This is definitely a draft that I can see going in and adding some small effects to keep it feeling dynamic.
